What is your favorite part about this job?
In a climate globally where unemployment is at an all time high, I have the ability to provide employment opportunities to not only my community, but other families across the United States. I take great esteem in being able to put “good people” into “great opportunities”.

How long have you been with CCS and how did you come to work here?
I have been with CCS for close the 3 months now. My previous employer worked with Lummus for years (CCS' parent company). Knowing about the company and their presence in the market that I lived in sparked my interest in employment with CCS.

Where did you work/what did you do prior to working at CCS?
I worked for Robert Half Finance and Accounting as a recruiting manager. My primary job function was to acquire talent on a direct hiring basis for executive level financial professionals domestically and internationally in a confidential capacity.

What drew you to the material handling industry in the first place?
In my opinion material handling is an industry that is not only a staple, but also experiencing exponential growth! I feel that it is an innovative industry that is on the crest of the newest technological advancements globally.

What are you most excited about for the future of the material handling industry?
I am excited about being able to connect with other countries at such a speed that any product or need can be acquired by anyone who needs it with the greatest of ease. This goes for food, medicine, or finite resources. I think that it will continue to connect people globally in a way that has never been witnessed to this point in human history.

How have you seen the material handling industry evolve throughout your career?
I have only been in the industry for a short period of time, but it has been growing to a high degree over the past few years. The fact that I can order something online and receive it the same day verse waiting 7-10 business days is mind blowing at times. This has also helped many small businesses and inventors to be able to compete with larger conglomerates as they can market “directly to their consumer or target audience”. This has not always been the case in the past.

If you could solve one problem facing the material handling industry, what would it be?
With an increasing customer demand, I would attack faster consumer response times. I also would bolster the industries overall cyber security. With any industry that is growing, there are always new counter measures that you will need to implement to increase the overall customer satisfaction and experience.

What things do you value most in a coworker or employee?
There are multiple qualities that I value in a fellow colleague. Some of the attributes that I enjoy are: Communication, collaboration, transparency, integrity, honesty, consistency, reliability, creativity, respect for others, empathy and professionalism.

What do you do for fun outside of work?
I enjoy many activities outside of work. Two of my favorite books historically are Einstein’s Relativity: The special and general theory and 48 laws of Power. My favorite movie is a toss-up as I am an avid movie watcher. I would say The Matrix, Shaw Shank Redemption, Inception, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off are some of my top selections to name a few. I am originally from Chicago, so I am a very big Bulls, Bears, Blackhawks and White Sox fan. I enjoy fine dining as well as cooking well prepared meals for my family. My hobbies include playing Chess in my spare time, traveling, and being a professional “beach bum”.
